Finding your ski accommodation in Japan

It is quite common that in Japanese ski resorts, you will not find an accommodation connected right next the guest house or the hill. Some of the larger ones do, such as, "Naeba" or "Niseko" but often times, you will need to be ready to find one away from the ski resort. Therefor, if you plan to stay overnight, it is a wise idea to rent a car which gives you better mobility. However, some accommodations do offer a shuttle bus service to ski resort, so you might want to enquire and plan ahead
